Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe revealed

Ahead of its global debut at the Detroit Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz has revealed the GLE-Coupe. Rivaling primarily the BMW X6, the body style is  a mix between an SUV & a coupe.

The GLE is based on the M-Class platform and carries forward the younger looking design from the MFA range of cars. The highlight on the GLE-Coupe is the styling, which makes it unique amongst the Mercedes-Benz range of vehicles.

The GLE-Coupe will be available in both petrol and diesel variants. But which engines would make it to India is still unknown.

The GLE-Coupe will also be the first Mercedes-Benz vehicle to get an AMG Sports variant which will be dubbed as the GLE 450 AMG. This variant is powered by a V6, bi-turbo petrol motor producing 367 BHP of power and 520 Nm of torque mated to a 9G-Tronic automatic gearbox powering the 4MATIC AWD system.

Expect the GLE-Coupe to be launched in India next year to rival the next-generation BMW X6.
