Mercedes-Benz delivers 550 cars during Navratri & Dussehra festival in India

German premium carmaker, Mercedes-Benz has announced that the carmaker delivered 550 Mercedes-Benz cars to customers across the country during the ongoing festive season. The auspicious occasion of Navratri and Dussehra has brought the brand record sales with 175 cars delivered in the Delhi NCR market. Furthermore, the brand states that the innovative ‘Unlock Celebrations’ has been instrumental in building an encouraging customer response adding to the enquiries. 

Apart from Delhi NCR, the brand has also witnessed strong demand from Mumbai and Gujarat markets, owing to the return of normalcy in the businesses. This resurging demand was also supported by the continuous additions and upgradations to the product portfolio combined with innovative financial and cost of ownership packages that were offered by the company. 

Recently, Mercedes-Benz announced that despite the market challenges amidst COVID-19 pandemic and the associated nationwide lockdown, the brand had delivered 5007 units in the period between January and September 2020. Mercedes-Benz further stated that the brand continues to make the sales recovery and its monthly sales figures have reached the pre-lockdown level for the first time in the month of September. The auspicious occasion of Navratri and Dussehra has also contributed towards the revival of customer sentiments. The Mercedes-Benz GLC, GLE and GLS SUV still remain the company’s volume drivers and the SUV segment continues to dominate the selection for its customers with 48% penetration in September 2020 sales, followed by sedans, AMG & Dream Cars.

Mercedes-Benz cars can be booked from the comfort and safety of home and are available with a doorstep delivery option available through the brand’s dedicated online sales channel. In September 2020, Mercedes-Benz India online car booking contributed up to 20% of sales volume exhibiting the influence of the online sales channels and preference for online shopping. The brand also expects a significant part of its total sales to be completely-online by 2025.
