Mercedes-AMG launches C 63 S E Performance in India at INR 1.95 Crore

Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance has been launched in India, priced at INR 1.95 crore (ex-showroom). This high-performance sedan marks AMG’s third plug-in hybrid launch in India this year, following the S 63 E Performance and the GT 63 S E Performance.

The C 63 S E Performance is powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 476 horsepower and 545 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a rear axle-mounted electric motor that adds 204 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque, resulting in a combined output of 680 horsepower and 1,020 Nm of torque. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 280 km/h.

Design and Features

The C 63 S E Performance features a bold exterior with a vertically-slatted grille, wide fenders, and 19-inch AMG alloy wheels. It also gets a lip spoiler, quad exhaust and diffusers enhancing the overall sporty appeal. Inside, it boasts Nappa leather upholstery, an MBUX infotainment system,  15-speaker Burmester surround sound system, and AMG-specific displays. It also gets an heads-up display that provides instant information to drivers. The car also includes a 6.1 kWh battery pack, providing an electric-only range of up to 13 km.

The C 63 S E Performance is designed for performance enthusiasts and offers a blend of performance and efficiency. It comes with eight drive modes, including Electric, Comfort, Battery Hold, Sport, Sport+, RACE, Slippery, and Individual. The car also features four-wheel steering and adaptive damping systems for enhanced driving dynamics. The rear-axle steering, which offers a maximum steering angle of 2.5°, aids maneuverability, particularly during tight turns or high-speed cornering.

Bookings for the C 63 S E Performance have opened, with deliveries expected to begin from April 2025. The launch coincided with the inauguration of the Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrows Showroom in Noida.
