Menza Motors launches Lucat electric motorcycle for INR 2.8 lakh

Menza Motors PVT. LTD. is a new bootstrapped start-up in the Indian automobile industry and they have launched a new electric motorcycle called the Menza Lucat. The bike will be available for pre-bookings from mid-February 2018 and deliveries will commence from August 2018.

Unveiled at the ongoing Indian Auto Expo, the Menza Lucat has been priced at INR 2.8 lakh (ex-showroom).

Menza Motors highlights that their electric motorcycle, the Lucat, can be charged o any wall socket and onboard charging. The brand has road tested the Lucat EV for over 10,000 km and 84% of the parts of the motorcycle have been designed & manufactured locally.

Menza Lucat is a factory custom motorcycle, and will be built as per the rider / owner requirement. Customers can request for their desired body type, suspension, seat, height & foot peg positions.

The Menza Lucat has been produces 18 kW of peak power and 60 Nm of peak torque. The Menza Lucat will offer a city riding range of 100 km and highway range of 150 km. The motor is a brushless DC unit with air cooling systems in place. The 72V lithium-ion battery with BMW System has a charge time of 4 hours and with a fast charge setup, it can get a 100% charge in just 90 minutes.

The bike features a trellis chassis, USD front fork, rear monoshock, alloy wheels, tubeless tyres, bar end mirrors, disc brakes but looks a little crude at the moment. One can also set speed limits, battery drain notifications and a cool launch control button.

Menza Motors is looking to set up charging stations alond the Yamuna Expressway so that owners can ride for longer distances without worrying about battery range.
