Maserati has unveiled the Ghibli 334 Ultima & Levante V8 Ultima at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The V8 engine cars mark the end of an era at Maserati. As the supplier agreement for the V8 engines comes to an end, the Italian carmaker will produce only 103 units of each car as an homage to the V8 engine. The first car to feature the V8 engine was the 5000 GT.
What’s new in the Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima & Levante V8 Ultima?
The 334 in the Ghibli stands for the top speed of the car in km/h. This makes it the fastest production car in the world. The acceleration of the car has also been improved. The sedan now clocks 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
For the outsides, Maserati has finished the car in Scià di Persia colour with Rubino accents. The Ghibli 334 Ultima gets 21-inch alloys with dark accents and glossy black brake callipers. There is a carbon fibre lip spoiler as well. On the inside, the upholstery consists of Pale Terracotta leather and Alcantara. There is 334 badging on the centre console as well as embroidered on the headrests.
Meanwhile, the Levante V8 Ultima comes with Nero Assoluto and Blu Royale colour shades. Maserati has equipped the car with 22-inch black alloy wheels. The LEvante V8 Ultima also gets a carbon fibre exterior package as standard. There are painted V8 Ultima logos on the fenders.
Powertrain of the Ultima cars
Both the Ultima cars – Ghibli 334 and Levante V8 share the Ferrari-sourced engine. This twin-turbo, 3.8-liter engine is offered with a power rating of 572 HP.
Maserati has been using V8 engines from as long as 1959. The agreement with Ferrari is coming to an end after 2023.

Maserati has also showcased the Maserati GranTurismo One Off Prisma, while the GranTurismo Trofeo will participate in the Hillclimb. Then, there is also the all-electric GranTurismo Folgore on display. This is the new electric flagship model.
