Italian luxury carmaker Maserati has confirmed the launch of its Levante Trofeo SUV in India by the end of 2019. India is among the most important markets for the brand and it will be the among the first markets to get the right-hand driven Levante Trofeo.
In terms of styling, Levante Trofeo features a double vertical-bar sculpted-grille and a large air dam, the Trofeo version specifically gets redesigned front and rear bumpers with a high-gloss carbon-fibre splitter, front bumper-integrated aero elements, side skirt inserts and a rear diffuser. The hood of the Trofeo features two air-intakes to cool the cylinder heads and the muscular fenders get the signature triple air vents. The SUV gets frameless door windows and the roofline swoops back and merges with the tailgate to give it a coupe-like profile. The SUV also gets a subtle spoiler and quad tailpipes on the rear.
On the interior, the Maserati Levante Trofeo features full grain ‘Pieno Fiore’ leather sports seats with the ‘Trofeo’ logo stitched on the headrests and has contrast stitching. The SUV is offered in three leather trim options – Black, Red and Tan. The SUV gets a central 8.4-inch Maserati Touch Control+ infotainment system with an aluminium rotary controller and an option between a dual-zone and four-zone climate control. The instrument cluster gets a 7.0-inch TFT display with analogue tachometer and speedometer and steering mounted controls.
In the engine department, the Levante Trofeo is equipped with a 3.8-litre engine made by Ferrari in Maranello and the 3799cc, twin-turbo, 90-degree V8 motor develops 590 HP of power and 730 Nm of torque and comes paired to a ZF, 8-speed, automatic gearbox which transfers the power to the ground via a Q4 Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive system. The car is capable of accelerating from nought to 100 kmph in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 300+ kmph.
In terms of safety, the Levante Trofeo comes packed with features like six airbags, Maserati stability program, integrated vehicle control, forward collision warning PLUS, rear cross path function, front and rear parking sensors with reverse camera, Hill Holder, Hill Descent Control, traffic sign recognition, lane keeping assist, active blind spot assist, highway assist system, lane departure warning, 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control system with stop and go, tyre pressure monitoring system and full Matrix LED headlights.
