The B2 segment is soon going to heat up. With the next-generation i20 launching in a couple of days and the Honda Jazz also lined up for a launch this fiscal year and Tata Motors coming up with the Bolt, along with other manufacturers readying facelifts or new versions of their B2 segment hatchbacks, Maruti Suzuki has decided to give their segment leading Swift hatch a minor facelift this November. This facelift will be a minor cosmetic change just to keep the car looking fresh among competitors.
Changes expected on the facelift version include LED DRLs on the front bumper, a slightly revised front grille, new alloy wheel design, redesigned headlamp and tail lamps with LED. On the inside, it is being rumoured that the car will get an inbuilt infotainment screen on the top variant with navigation capabilities.
Engine options are likely to remain the same, with petrol, diesel and a bi-fuel option of CNG + petrol. An automatic transmission is also expected in both the petrol and diesel versions.
