Indo-Japanese car major Maruti Suzuki is celebrating the first anniversary of the Mini-SUV, S-Presso and also announced that the marque has sold over 75,000 units of the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso since its launch. The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is positioned as a Mini-SUV in the brand portfolio and offers upright front fascia with butch looks, robust exterior styling, spacious interiors and a commanding front seating position.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso was launched in 2019 and within a month of its launch, the S-Presso made its debut entry in the top ten cars list and has been garnered with over half a dozen accolades in the automobile industry. The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso still captures over 9% of the market share in the A2- segment and boasts to have a strong footing in the segment. The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is targeted towards the young crowd that resonates with its youthful and energetic design. To engage with its target audience, Maruti Suzuki has maintained a strong presence on the social media along with campaigns at unique and youthful properties such as Comic-Con, ISL, Street Dancer 3D, Cult.Fit and IPL to engage young urban customers.
On the exterior, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso features SUV-inspired styling such as a chrome-accented grille, turn-signal integrated headlamps, a wide air dam with a skid plate effect, flared wheel arches, full wheel covers, C-Shaped combination tail lamps etc. On the interiors, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso comes with a uniquely positioned dynamic centre console with a digital speedometer, an amber backlit LCD multi-information display and below the centrally positioned instruments cluster is the SmartPlay audio with voice control, with colour accents that match the exterior. The S-Presso also features steering mounted audio controls, air-conditioning with heater, utility spaces and dual-tone seats.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is powered by a BS6 emissions complaint K10B series 998cc Petrol engine with a recently-launched Bi-fuel (Petrol/CNG) option that produces 60 Hp of power and 90 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed manual transmission. In the CNG fuel option, the car comes with a 55-litre (water capacity) CNG fuel tank and returns a mileage of 31.2 km/kg. The Mini-SUV as the brand likes to call it, measures 3565mm in length, 1520mm in width, 1549mm in height, 2380mm of the wheelbase, tips the scales at 726 kg (without the CNG kit) and the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso can accommodate 5 people.
In the standard BS6 compliant form the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso (STD) is priced starting INR 370,500 ex-showroom, Delhi. The BS6 compliant S-CNG fuel version of the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso (LXI) is priced starting INR 484,000 ex-showroom, Delhi.
