Maruti Suzuki WagonR Sales Milestones
Maruti Suzuki WagonR was launched in 1999, since then it has recorded sales of 5 lakh units in 2008, 10 lakh units in 2012, 15 lakh units in 2015, 20 lakh units in 2017, 25 lakh units in 2021 and 30 lakh in the present year. Ever since WagonR has been launched it has always seen growth in sales.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR has the highest percentage of repeat buyers. 24% of its customers prefer upgrading to the newest WagonR with upgraded features. Based on the 5th generation HEARTECT platform, WagonR is now equipped with ABS and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC). The latest iteration of WagonR can also be easily driven on slopes with the help of Hill Hold Assist.
The 3rd generation Wagon-R starts at INR 5.51 lakh and features 2 advanced K-series engine options. The WagonR was never sold with a diesel engine option, and the available petrol engine options include a 1.0L & 1.2L motor with manual and AGS transmission. Wagon-R caters to a diverse range of customers hence also offers S-CNG variants. S-CNG variants come with a factory-fitted CNG kit in the boot of this hatchback.
Maruti Suzuki’s WagonR is offered with a 1.0L petrol & CNG engine option and a 1.2L petrol motor as well. The 1.0L engine is a K10C, 998cc, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated block producing 66.62 PS of power & 89 Nm of torque when you do not buy the CNG version. In the CNG iteration, the same motor produces 65.26 PS in petrol mode, 56.70 PS in CNG mode, 89 Nm torque in petrol mode and 82.1 Nm torque in CNG mode. This motor comes matched to a manual as well as AGS / AMT gearbox.
The 1.2L petrol engine option is a K12N, 1197cc, 4-cylinder, NA motor producing 89.73 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. This motor is matched to a MT and AGS gearbox options.
