However, Maruti Suzuki has officially shared all the necessary details you need to know about the next-generation Swift. The new Maruti Suzuki Swift will make an official debut at the Auto Expo 2018.
This new Swift is based on the 5th generation HEARTECT platform which offers more strength and rigitidty. With this, the new Swift will have better power to weight ratio and also, better crash worthiness. The new Swift is wider, compact but with longer wheelbase and has more room & luggage space than before. The new Swift is 40 mm wider than before and has 20mm longer wheelbase resulting in more space for occupants. Luggage space has increased by 28% which with 58L more space. Also, there is 24 mm more headroom.
The all-new Swift is more aerodynamic than before and will continue with the same set of 1.2L petrol & 1.3L diesel engines (K12 VVT engine and DDiS 190) with better fuel economy. The new Swift will also come with an AMT gearbox, for both petrol and diesel engines.
The interiors are all-new and the new Swift gets a flat bottom steering wheel, satin finish, bolstered seats & a completely new dashboard layout along with a touchscreen infotainment system. Exterior design is a fantastic evolution over the previous models, and resembles to the already launched Dzire. Exterior features include a new front grille, floating roof design, wrap around windows, LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, two-tone cut alloy wheels, etc.
Safety features include dual airbags, ABS, EBD, ISOFIX & a stronger than ever chassis for the Swift.
