Maruti Suzuki removes features from Brezza SUV

Maruti Suzuki has updated the Brezza SUV. The largest Indian carmaker has silently revised some of the features of the popular sub 4m SUV while adding some new ones as well.

Updates to the Maruti Suzuki Brezza

First up, the carmaker has added seat belt reminders for rear seat occupants. This is inline with the other new cars like the Fronx and the Jimny. Prior to this, only the front seats came with the seat belt reminders.

Another major change is the removal of the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and hill hold features from the CNG variants.

Lastly, the mild hybrid tech is no longer being offered on the manual transmission variants. Only the automatics will get this tech going forward.

Remaining features have remained unchanged. The Brezza continues to offer sunroof, cruise control, wireless apple carplay & android auto, touchscreen smartplay pro infotainment system, engine start stop button, automatic climate control and alloy wheels amongst others.

Maruti Suzuki Powertrain

The Brezza continues to be powered by a K15C 1.5-litre petrol engine. The engine produces 102 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 136.8 Nm @ 4,400 rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

In CNG variants, the same engine develops 87 BHP and 121.5 Nm. The CNG option is offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
