Maruti Suzuki launches the all-new Swift for INR 4.99 lakh at Auto Expo 2018

Maruti Suzuki has launched the all-new Swift at the ongoing Indian Auto Expo 2018 at prices starting from INR 4.99 lakh. This premium hatchback will be slotting below the Baleno, but will be placed at the Maruti Suzuki Arena showrooms. This will also be the most expensive hatchback available from Maruti Suzuki out of the Nexa branding.

Based on the 5th generation Heartect platform, the new Swift is bigger & bolder in every sense. A consistent top performer in terms of sales, the new Swift is expected to find more buyers than ever with its value proposition. The brand has spent over Rs. 700 crore on the development of the Swift. Staying true to the Make In India vision, the new Swift achieves 98% localisation

Biggest talking point for the new Swift are the mileage numbers. The 2018 all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift delivers 22.0 kmpl mileage for the petrol engine and 28.4 kmpl mileage with the diesel engine.

In terms of numbers, the mileage on the petrol is almost 7.8% higher, mileage in diesel is almost 12.7% higher, the car now has ~28% more luggage space (+58L), ~24mm more headroom, better seat back angle, 40mm wider, 20mm longer wheelbase, ~40% use of high tensile steel for the chassis & improved acceleration by ~10%.
