Maruti Suzuki has ventured out into the metaverse. India’s largest carmaker has announced ARENAVerse, a metaverse platform for the Arena dealerships across India.
The ARENAVerse will allow Maruti customers to experience an immersive virtual event with Maruti’s vehicles. While initially, users of the metaverse will be able to interact with the virtual models, Maruti is also planning to digitally interact with sales representatives as well as configure their vehicle as per their needs in the ARENAVerse.
To further the experience of the users, Maruti has equipped over 700 Arena dealerships with Virtual Reality (VR) headsets to make sure that visitors will be able to experience the ARENAVerse. Users can also access a browser-friendly version of the metaverse via the Maruti Suzuki Arena website.
For Maruti Suzuki, keeping in touch with the new-age customers is very important. Hence the ARENAVerse, which is one of the many initiatives by the carmaker to cater to such new-age customers. The metaverse has already been launched on a high note, with the online bookings of the new Grand Vitara crossing the 10,000 mark from the NEXAVerse alone.
Even in the global markets, the online ecosystem of the metaverse will offer companies a platform to grow that is not restricted with geographical boundaries and timezones. For Maruti Suzuki this is a tool to stay in touch with the most remote customers thanks to the technological innovation of Metaverse.
Since 2021, Maruti has successfully digitized 24 out of the 26 steps involved in car buying. The company has also launched initiatives like the Suzuki Smart Finance Service, MS Chatbot and the S-Assist amongst others. It has to be noted that Maruti is not the only carmaker to embrace new digital initiatives. Recently home-grown carmaker Mahindra also launched the XUV400Verse for the e-SUV XUV400.
