Maruti Suzuki launches Baleno Regal edition in India

Maruti Suzuki has launched a new limited-edition variant of its popular hatchback, the Baleno. Dubbed the “Baleno Regal Edition,” this special model aims to offer a blend of luxury and style, enhancing the appeal of an already well-loved vehicle.

The Baleno Regal Edition is available across all four variants of the Baleno: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. This new edition is priced between INR 6.66 lakh and INR 9.83 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes with a host of exterior and interior upgrades that set it apart from the standard models.

Exterior Enhancements

The Regal Edition features several aesthetic upgrades designed to give the Baleno a more premium look. These include a grille upper garnish, front and rear underbody spoilers, fog lamp garnish, and body side mouldings. Additionally, the car is equipped with door visors and a back door garnish, adding to its sophisticated appearance.

Interior Upgrades

Inside, the Baleno Regal Edition boasts a luxurious interior styling kit, new seat covers, and all-weather 3D mats. The inclusion of window curtains further enhances the comfort and privacy for passengers. These additions are aimed at providing a more refined and comfortable driving experience.

Core Features

Despite these enhancements, the Baleno Regal Edition retains the core features that have made the Baleno a favorite among Indian consumers. It continues to offer a 1.2-litre Dual-Jet Dual-VVT petrol engine, delivering 89.73PS of maximum power and 113Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT, with a CNG option also available.

The vehicle is packed with advanced features such as LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, a 360-degree view camera, a head-up display, automatic climate control, and the SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system with a 9-inch display. Safety remains a priority with six airbags, ESP, hill hold assist, and Suzuki Connect with over 40 smart features.

Market Positioning

The Baleno Regal Edition is positioned to compete with other premium hatchbacks in the Indian market, such as the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz, and Toyota Glanza. By offering a blend of luxury and practicality, Maruti Suzuki aims to attract customers looking for a stylish yet functional vehicle.
