Maruti Suzuki Invicto interiors revealed in spy shots

Maruti is gearing up to launch the Invicto MPV soon. The car was spotted at a dealer yard just ahead of its launch. Now we can see the interiors of the Invicto.

What’s new on the inside of the Maruti Suzuki Invicto?

First up, the interior is pretty much identical to the Toyota Innova Hycross. The main change on the inside is the S logo on the steering wheel instead of the Toyota logo. Details like the dashboard layout, centre console and the touchscreen infotainment system, are same as the one on the Toyota.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto : Exteriors

While the Invicto is a badge-engineered version of the Innova Hycross, the Japanese carmaker has differentiated the car by few cosmetic elements. These include a new grille with horizontal slats, reworked front bumper and new LED DRLs. The car also comes with a different alloy wheel design.
Toyota will be manufacturing the Invicto alongside the Innova Hycross at its manufacturing facility in Bidadi outside of Bangalore, Karnataka.

Powertrain of the Maruti Suzuki Invicto

Maruti plans to offer only the hybrid powertrain with the Invicto. This unit consists of a 2.0-litre NA petrol engine and an electric motor jointly rated at 183 BHP. Transmission duties are done by an e-CVT gearbox.

Could Invicto pave the way for other premium Maruti cars?

The Invicto could also make way for other premium vehicles from the Maruti stable. Maruti is known for its mass market offerings and to shy away from this image, the Invicto could be a catalyst. If done right, we could definitely expect other premium vehicles like the three-row Grand Vitara to make its way to our shores. Customers can already book the car after paying a token amount of INR 25,000. With this new offering, Maruti will be venturing out into the higher priced segment. This product would be a departure from Maruti’s usual strategy of launching mass market vehicles.
