Maruti Suzuki might be preparing to introduce the Fronx, a compact SUV equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). A recent spy shot suggests that the Fronx ADAS variant is being tested and could be launched in India.
The testing vehicle that was shot has a radar plate on its front grille. A camera that also helps the ADAS functions can also be seen behind the windshield. Interestingly, the Fronx with ADAS was recently spotted testing in India before. This particular model was destined for international markets and will not be launched domestically. Maruti Suzuki is currently manufacturing and testing cars for global export, and the Fronx ADAS variant falls into this category.
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx ADAS variant is expected to offer a suite of safety features, enhancing both driver convenience and road safety. Some of the anticipated ADAS features include:
Maruti Suzuki has already begun exporting the Fronx to Japan, where it is the only region known to receive the ADAS suite. The Baleno-based model equipped with ADAS has garnered attention in the Japanese market. It is highly possible that this car is till being tested for the Japanese or other international markets.
There is no certainty that the Fronx ADAS will come to market in India. However, if it does, it will be the smallest and most affordable car in the market to get ADAS.
