Maruti Suzuki exported 2,05,450 cars in 2021

Renowned automotive manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced its exports sales report for the entire year of 2021. In CY 2021, the automaker exported 2,05,450 vehicles which is the highest-ever figure recorded in the brand’s history. Maruti Suzuki stated that it continues to follow the Government of India’s ‘Make in India for the world’ initiative.

The brand also stated this achievement reflects the confidence of its customers for its products in terms of various attributes. These include quality, technology, reliability, performance and cost-effectiveness of its products, via which it also thanks to the Suzuki Motor Corporation. Maruti Suzuki has also highlighted its commitment of fulfilling the expectations of its shareholders, distributors and the global customer base.

Maruti Suzuki Exports Details 

The automaker began exporting vehicles from 1986-1987, during which it exported its first large consignment to Hungary. Currently, Maruti Suzuki exports its vehicles to over 100 countries globally and has exported around 21.85 lakh units. The brand states its vehicles are popular with customers across Latin America, ASEAN, Africa, the Middle East, and other neighbouring regions.

Maruti Suzuki also stated that it currently exports around 15 models, including the newly introduced Jimny and the Celerio. The current top five models which Maruti Suzuki exported in 2021 include the Baleno, Dzire, Swift, S-Presso, and Brezza. Maruti Suzuki has planned all new launches in 2022 for the Indian market, which includes the refreshed Baleno and Brezza.

In the final week of December 2021, enthusiasts spotted the all-new refreshed 2022 Baleno hatchback during an ad shoot. With the images making their round on social media, the spied car is hard to spot due to poor lighting. However, the new 2022 facelifted Baleno features a Nexa Blue colour scheme in the images with chrome door handles. The images also reveal new visual updates, such as the redesigned dual-tone alloy wheels and reworked LED taillights.

During the same time, enthusiasts also spotted Maruti Suzuki testing the 3-door Jimny SUV on the streets of Mumbai. Images revealed the SUV to be a left-hand drive vehicle with the brand aiming it for the international markets. Sources and reports suggest that Maruti Suzuki will introduce a 5-door version of the Jimny for the Indian market. The 5-door Jimny will sport an increased length compared to its 3-door counterpart and compete in the lifestyle SUV segment.
