It’s no secret that Maruti Suzuki is venturing into the electric vehicle (EV) space, and the eVX has been making waves. Showcased multiple times at various auto shows and events, the eVX has also been spotted testing on roads. In a fresh set of spy shots; the car appears to be fully production-ready, and the launch is anticipated in the first few months of 2025.
Design Highlights
The eVX features distinct design elements. Notably, the headlights and taillights that will be included in the launch-spec car are clearly visible. The headlights sport a two-piece LED DRL arrangement with a straight line at the top and an inverted L-shaped design at the bottom. The slanting LED taillights are connected by an LED stripe spanning the width of the tailgate. The overall side appearance includes a flattish roofline, round wheel arches, and multi-spoke alloy wheels. Other striking features include rear door handles on the C-pillar, a shark-fin antenna, and a roof spoiler.
Powertrain
The eVX electric SUV is expected to come with a 40-60 kWh battery pack, offering a range of up to 500 km. It will likely be powered by a single-motor setup, although a dual-motor version may also be available. Charging capabilities include up to 11 kW AC home charging and 80-100 kW DC fast charging. Additionally, the eVX could support Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging.
Interior and Features
Inside, the eVX boasts a fresh cabin layout distinct from its existing siblings. Key features include a new two-spoke steering wheel, a semi-floating center console with physical switches, a wireless charging pad, and a large free-standing touchscreen infotainment system. Vertical air-con vents sit below the infotainment system, and the front armrest is connected to the center console. Dual-tone seat upholstery adds to the premium feel. Expect advanced features like a powered front or driver seat, dual-zone temperature control, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, heads-up display, telematics, and connected car technology. Maruti may also offer Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
