Maruti Suzuki EVX interior cabin revealed

Suzuki has released the interior images of the upcoming eVX compact SUV. The car will be the company’s first all electric offering and is expected to be launched sometime next year.

What do the interiors of the Maruti Suzuki eVX reveal?

The insides of the eVX look quite futuristic. They are unlike any other electric vehicle. The SUV comes with a unique dashboard layout which gets a larger screen for the infotainment as well as the driver information display. The AC vents are oriented vertically and follow the design of the dashboard.

The car comes equipped with a two-spoke steering wheel. The contour of the steering is matching to the dashboard. It is not sure if this will make its way to the final production version.

The front seats are separated by a centre console. It comes with a rotary knob and piano black finish. Suzuki has also incorporated ambient lighting in the car. Passengers will get bucket seats with new-age foam which could offer comfort of traditional seats without the bulk.

Maruti eVX : Powertrain details

Back at the 2023 Auto Expo, Maruti had revealed a few details about the eVX. These include a 60 kWh battery with a 550 km range. However, while the production version will have the same battery, the real world range could drop down to around 500 km. Maruti will also introduce a 48 kWh variant to keep costs in check. This could offer around 400 km of range.

Maruti eVX : Production plans

The eVX SUV will be made in India at Suzuki’s manufacturing plant in Gujarat. The plant will also make the Toyota version a little later. In terms of annual capacity, the plant can make 1.25 lakh units. This should cater to both the domestic and export requirements.

Despite being a global product, the eVX is scheduled to first go on sale in India followed by other overseas markets.
