The Maruti Suzuki eVX was first showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo. The launch is slated for 2025 however, the car has begun testing in India. When there’s testing, there are plenty of spyshots. We have come across some fresh photos that have been taken from a test vehicle. These new shots, reveal the interior of the upcoming electric vehicle from Maruti Suzuki.
The interior shots of the eVX reveal a twin-spoke steering wheel with a flat bottom. The buttons on the wheel get a glossy finish. Also, the wheel is not a perfect circle and somewhat resembles the recent wheels we have seen on Tata cars. The seats appear similar to the ones we have seen on the Fronx and the Grand Vitara.
The dashboard is covered but it partially reveals the central infotainment screen which appears to be larger. There is a new central console that houses the rotary drive selector and other controls. There is also some storage space under the central console. The central console extends into an armrest which also could get some storage space under it.
At the rear, we can see a fairly wide seat however, the central headrest seems to be missing. The floorboard is pretty flat as the eVX does not need a transmission tunnel. This is achieved thanks to the YY8 skateboard platform for EVs. There is also a rear AC vent with charging ports and some storage space below.
The eVX is expected to get two drivetrain options. The standard will be the single-motor front wheel drive option. The higher variants could get the dual-motor all-wheel drive option. There will also be two battery sizes to choose from. The single-motor variants will be paired to a 45 kWh pack while the dual-motor variants could get a 60 kWh battery pack. The range will be between 350 km to 500 km.
