Maruti Suzuki has launched the new generation of Ertiga MPV with a CNG kit. This factor fitted CNG variant of the Ertiga has been priced at INR 8.87 lakh ex-showroom, and will be available only in the VXi variant. Maruti Suzuki claims that the Ertiga when driven on CNG, will deliver a mileage of 26.20 km/kg.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is the only such 7-seater MPV in the Indian market which comes with a CNG kit fit by the company. With company fit CNG kits, customers can still get all the warranty benefits, when compared to getting it retro-fitted. The CNG Ertiga gets dual ECU (Engine Control Unit) with gas port injection system. This helps in better drive-ability and better pick up.
Since launch in November 2018, Maruti Suzuki has managed to sell over 61,000 units of the Ertiga. The brand claims that this is 60% higher than the same months last year. The Ertiga manages 8,000 unit sales on an average, monthly. The Ertiga hence is also the best-selling MPV in the Indian market.
The Ertiga gets safety features such as ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, speed alert system, seat belt with pre-tensioners, ISOFIX, brake assist and parking sensors as standard on all variants.
The Ertiga measures 4395mm in length, 1735mm in width, 1690mm in height and has boot space increased by 55% with all seats up and an incremental 9% additional boot space with 2 rows tumbled.
Maruti Suzuki will soon launch the XL6 Crossover MPV in India. The XL6 is nothing but a reworked Ertiga which will pose as rough road friendly with ample of body cladding all around. The XL6 will have a 6-seater layout on the inside and the front fascia of the car will be heavily reprofiled to give it a premium touch. Speaking about premium, the XL6 will be sold via Nexa outlets in India.
