Maruti Suzuki Eeco BS6 S-CNG launched at INR 4.64 lakh

Maruti Suzuki under their ‘Mission Green Million’ campaign which aims to sell a Million green fueled vehicles in India have launched the Maruti Suzuki Eeco BS6 S-CNG at the starting price of INR 4.64 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The brand has launched the BS6 emission compliant 1.2-litre G12B engine with the CNG alternate fuel to strengthen its commitment towards the Govt. of India’s stringent emission norms.

On its exteriors, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco S-CNG features a Van body with a sloping bonnet, two-slated grille, air intakes on the bumper, a halogen headlamp setup, sliding second-row doors for easy ingress and egress, rounded wheel arches, 13-inch steel rims, body graphics on the sides, a hatch style tailgate and combination tail lamp cluster. The Eeco measures in at 3675mm long, 1475mm wide, 1825mm in height and has a 2350mm wheelbase. The petrol-only variant of the Eeco weighs in at 940 kgs at the kerb. 

On the Inside, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco S-CNG comes in a 5-seater as well as a 7-seater option and features dual-tone interiors with dual-tone seat upholstery, moulded roof lining, moulded floor mats, front & rear cabin lamps, three-point steering wheel, an analogue speedometer along with a digital multi-information display, slider type controls for the air-conditioning, storage spots on the dashboard and transmission tunnel. 

In the engine department, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco S-CNG comes with a BS6 emission compliant 1196cc G12B that makes 72.4 hp of power and 98 Nm of torque on the petrol fuel. The engine is matched to a 5-speed manual transmission. 

In terms of safety, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco S-CNG comes with a driver-side airbag, ABS with EBD, seatbelt reminder for both driver and passenger, over-speed alert system, reverse parking sensor and child lock for doors. The Maruti Suzuki Eeco S-CNG also offers crash compliance for offset crash as per AIS 098. 

The Maruti Suzuki Eeco was launched back in 2010 and has cumulatively sold 6.7 lakh units and holds an 87% market share in the Van segment.
