2020 Maruti Suzuki Dzire facelift launched at INR 5.89 lakh

Maruti Suzuki has launched the new facelift model of the Dzire at the price starting from INR 5.89 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The 2020 facelift model comes with a refreshed exteriors, subtle changes to its interiors, added features and comes powered with a next-generation K-series engine.

On the exteriors, the 2020 Maruti Suzuki Dzire features refreshed front fascia with a new single aperture grille, refreshed styling for the slightly lowered bumper, new turn indicator integrated auto foldable ORVMs with key sync function, LED daytime running lights, LED projector headlamps with three-dimensional inserts, fog lamps with chrome accents on the housing, diamond-cut two-tone 15-inch alloy wheels, LED combination tail lamp, high mounted LED stop light etc. 

On the interiors, the 2020 model gets a burl wood embellishment on the dual-tone dashboard and on the control mounted steering wheel with cruise control, satin chrome accents around the AC vents and central 17.78-cm touchscreen infotainment system with SmartPlay studio system with smartphone and cloud connectivity features, automatic climate control, patterned seat upholstery, rear air-con vents, an analogue speedometer and tachometer with a digital colour multi-information display in between. 

In the engine department, the 2020 Maruti Suzuki Dzire comes powered by a BS6 emissions-compliant next-generation Dual Jet, Dual VTVT 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 90 ps of power and 113 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AGS (Automated Manual Transmission). The 2020 Dzire comes with a segment-first auto-idle start/stop function and a company claimed best in the segment mileage of 23.26 km/l in manual transmission and 24.12 km/l in AGS (Automated Manual). 

In terms of safety, the 2020 Maruti Suzuki Dzire comes with bigger size brakes on both the front and rear armed with an anti-lock braking system and electronic brake-force distribution system, dual airbags, pre-tensioner and force limiter seatbelts and ISOFIX child restraint anchorage system. The 2020 Dzire is built around the fifth-generation HEARTECT platform that complies with frontal-offset, side-impact and pedestrian safety norms. The 2020 Dzire also features a hill-hold function and electronic stability programme on the AGS model.

The facelift model also comes with two new exterior paint options – Premium Silver and Phoenix Red.
