It has been just a couple of months since its market debut, but the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has already been recalled. 3,796 units of the manual transmission Ciaz are a part of this recall.

Maruti Suzuki has found out that the clutch operation system in these cars is faulty and needs replacement. Cars manufactured till November 7, 2014 have been affected with this issue. The recall includes both petrol and diesel powered Ciaz models.

Dealers have already started contacting the customers so that they can have their vehicle inspected. The parts would be replaced free of cost. Owners can also visit Maruti’s website (link) and check if their vehicle is accounted for in this recall.

Post the launch, the Ciaz was off to a good start, outnumbering the even the Honda City. Will this recall lead to a sales decline?
