Maruti Suzuki Celerio crosses 83,500 bookings

Maruti Suzuki has hit the jackpot with the Celerio. Not only has it broken the myth that the demand for automatic cars in India is negligible, but is also racing towards the 1 lakh bookings milestone very quickly.

Till date, the Celerio has already crossed 83,500 bookings and out of this, ~40% account for the AMT Auto-Gear Shift (AGS) transmission.

The Celerio was also the cheapest automatic hatchback available in India till the Alto K10 AMT was launched last month.

The Celerio has replaced the Estilo and the A-Star in the Indian market, and has proven its mettle when it comes to sales numbers.

Powering the Celerio is a 1.0L, 3-cylinder, K10B petrol motor producing 68 PS of power @ 6,000 RPM and 90 Nm of torque @ 3,500 RPM and delivers a fuel efficiency of 23.1 kmpl.
