Maruti Ciaz details revealed

One of the most awaited product from the Maruti-Suzuki stable, the Ciaz is all set to make its market debut in the coming months. With the Baleno and SX4, the company did not manage to drive in the sales numbers as expected, and now, Maruti wants to change the story. The company is betting big on the Ciaz and is currently in the process of shooting an advertisement.

The Maruti Ciaz will be driven by a 1.4L, 4-cylinder petrol motor producing 91 BHP of power and 13.25 Kgm of torque. The diesel engine on offer will be the popular 1.3L, Fiat-sourced Multijet engine producing 88.76 BHP of power and 20.39 Kgm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a manual transmission while the petrol motor also gets an automatic.

The Ciaz measures 4490mm in length, 1730mm wide, 1485mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2650mm.

On the exteriors, it has first-in-segment bi-xenon projector headlamps, 16″ multispoke alloys on the top-end variants, a chunky front grille in chrome, turn indicators on the ORVMs, blackened B-pillar, recessed reflectors on the rear bumpers, wrap around tail lamps, rear windscreen mounted antenna etc.

On the inside, the Ciaz will get beige and black interiors, soft touch dashboard, keyless entry, a big touchscreen head unit, automatic climate control, steering mounted audio controls, push start / stop button, ac vents for the rear passengers, leather seats, driver seat height adjustment, electric boot release etc.

Safety features include ABS, EBD and dual airbags. The Maruti Ciaz will be available in four trim levels V, V+, Z and Z+ and seven exterior colour options.
