Also, if you look closely, Maruti has smartly hiked the prices. The Alto K10 is dangerously close to the Celerio and Wagon R category buyers. Hence, its sales have been on the lower side, except for the few variants that are doing well. Hence, the highest price hike is seen on these variants.
Apart from the 6 airbags, the Alto K10 is equipped with ABS, EBD, and 3-point seatbelts as standard for passenger safety. The new K10 is also equipped with a digital console and touchscreen infotainment that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Powering the K10 is the ultra-reliable and efficient 999cc, three-cylinder engine that generates 67 bhp of peak power. It is also offered with a CNG powertrain, which accumulates the majority of its sales.
In addition to the price revision and airbag addition, Maruti has revised the naming of the variants by removing the (O) suffix. The primary rival to the K10 is the Renault Kwid.
