Mahindra is currently one of the top sellers of cars in India. Thanks to blockbusters like the new Thar, XUV700 and the new Scorpio, the carmaker has seen a big jump in its sales numbers in recent months. From the looks of it, we must say the Scorpio is really popular in the Indian market.

Mahindra recently launched the XUV300 TurboSport series. This is the first Mahindra SUV to get the all-new 1.2 L mStallion TGDi engine. With this, Mahindra expects to attract new-generation car enthusiasts by offering them a performance oriented vehicle. The performance figure of the TGDi engine reads as 130 PS Power @5000 rpm and 230 Nm of torque @ 1500-3750 rpm. Mahindra is not only the fastest ICE SUV under INR 15 lakhs but also superior to 1.5L engine capabilities offered in some of the higher segments.

Mahindra might also be evaluating launching a lifestyle vehicle in India. A test mule of the Scorpio 4×4 pickup was spotted recently. The utility of such pick-ups in is appreciated especially in hilly terrains or rough rural roads.
