In a recent spy shot, the interior cabin of Mahindra’s much-anticipated BE.05 electric SUV has been spotted, and it appears to be production-ready. The BE.05 is part of Mahindra’s ‘BE’ or Born Electric range of all-electric products, which are set to make their debut in the Indian market next year.
The BE.05’s interior cabin showcases an all-black theme, accentuated with silver accents and a piano black finish on the centre console. The centre console, a floating-styled one with storage underneath, houses a tall gear lever, a push start/stop button, a wireless charger, a cup holder, and a rotary dial to control the infotainment system. This setup is reminiscent of the one found in the XUV 700.
One of the standout features of the BE.05’s interior is the twin-spoke steering wheel, which bears an illuminated BE logo and touch capacitive controls. This design element is not entirely new, as it has been seen in recent Tata cars.
The dashboard of the BE.05 is dominated by a twin-display setup, with AC vents and a centre console arm dividing both front passenger spaces. Adding a unique touch to the cabin is a strap-like door grab handle on the inside.
The BE.05, which is expected to rival the Tata Curvv, will measure 4.3 metres in length and will feature all the characteristics of a coupe-SUV. It is likely to come equipped with a 60 kWh battery pack, with different variants offering front- and rear-mounted motor setups.
