Mahindra’s 3 manufacturing plants celebrate 1 million vehicle roll out

Mahindra and Mahindra have announced a milestone of the 1 millionth vehicle to roll out from each of the brand’s three manufacturing facilities. The milestone was achieved at Chakan, Haridwar and Zaheerabad production facilities and the plants have joined the 1 million club along with Mahindra’s Kandivali and Nashik production facilities.

The Chakan plant is a fully owned subsidiary of Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. and was set up in 2007 and is located at Chakan near Pune and the facility is accredited with the latest ISO 9001, ISO 140001 and OHSAS certifications. 

The Haridwar plant was inaugurated in 2005 to cater the North Eastern part of the country. The facility currently manufactures 4 models and 44 variants. The Haridwar plant took 8 years to achieve the first 5 lakh vehicle milestone and the next 5 lakh vehicles were produced in the last 5 years. 

The Zaheerabad plant became a 100% Mahindra and Mahinda Subsidiary in 1995 and produces LCVs, Utility Vehicles and three-wheelers. The 5 lakh vehicle milestone was achieved in 2013 and the last 5 lakh vehicles were achieved in the last 6 years. In the Fiscal Year 2019 alone the plant achieved the 1 lakh milestone. 

The brand’s Automotive plants are fully equipped manufacturing facilities with Press Shops, Body Shops, CED Lines, Paint Shops and Assembly Lines. Mahindra has its presence in almost every segment of the automobile industry from passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, utility vehicles and electric vehicles. 

The Mahindra passenger vehicle portfolio includes –  XUV300, TUV300, Marazzo, TUV300 PLUS, Alturas G4 Bolero, New XUV500,  Bolero Power+, KUV100 NXT, NuvoSport, Thar, Verito, Scorpio, Verito Vibe and the Xylo.

The Mahindra commercial vehicle portfolio includes – Bolero Pik-Up Extra Long, Bolero Pik-Up Extra Strong, Bolero Camper Gold VX, Bolero Maxitruck Plus, Imperio, Supro, Supro Maxitruck, Supro Minitruck, Mahindra Alfa – Load, Mahindra Alfa – Passenger, Jeeto and Jeeto Mini-Van.
