Mahindra XUV300 crosses 25,000 production mark

Mahindra has announced the production milestone of the 25,000th XUV300 that rolled out its production plant since the car was launched in February 2019. The Mahindra XUV300 rivals the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport. The brand is also gearing up to launch the AMT automatic version of the car soon. The Marelli sourced AMT gearbox on the XUV300 will be available in the 1.5-litre diesel option in the W6 and W8 trim variants and will be badged with an ‘AutoShift’ logo.

The XUV300 is available in two engine options in four variants – W4, W6, W8 and W8(o). 

Petrol

  • 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 110 BHP of power and 200 Nm of torque coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Diesel

  • 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine producing 115 BHP of power and 300 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional AMT.

The Mahindra XUV300 comes with features like dual-zone air-conditioning system, heated ORVMs, dual-tone paint scheme, projector headlamps with LED DRLs in the front, LED tail lamps in the rear, fog lamps, alloy wheels, a sunroof, ORVM integrated turn signal indicators, an advanced touchscreen infotainment system and more.

In terms of safety, the XUV300 shares its underpinnings with the SsangYong Tivoli which is a global car and has received multiple safety awards including a Grade 1 award from the KNCAP (Korean New Car Assessment Program). The the XUV300 gets 7-airbags including a knee airbag, disc brakes on all four wheels, ABS with EBD, traction control, hill hold control, electronic safety program (ESP), roll-over mitigation, seat belt reminder for all passengers, a 3-point seatbelt for the middle occupant in the second row and an ISOFIX on the rear seats. 

Pre-bookings for the Mahindra XUV300 AMT have begun with the launch expected to be scheduled later this month.
