Mahindra working on ‘Mojo Electric’ motorcycle

Mahindra’s  big motorcycle project, the Mojo is already forgotten. There’s hardly anyone who aspires to buy this motorcycle, but the brand is still not giving up on it. A recent sighting has revealed that Mahindra might be considering an all-electric version of the Mojo. No such plans have been revealed officially, or any timeline has been shared, but this seemed like a working prototype for sure since it was seen out on the streets.

Now, the standard Mojo is powered by a 295cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor producing 27 BHP of power and 30 Nm of torque. A lower spec variant produces 23 BHP of power and 25.2 Nm of torque. Both engines matched to a 6-speed gearbox.

About this spyshot, the Mojo electric, we have no idea about the power source. The battery capacity, performance figures, etc. are unknown for now. However, one can expect that the electric motor will deliver a good amount of torque, and almost instantly once the rider twists the throttle. So initial acceleration will be something to look out for.

Spyshot reveals that the engine area of the Mojo on this variant has a battery pack. It is also covered with some extra body coloured panels. Even the rear sprocket is different, and it is mostly using a belt drive for this motorcycle. USD front forks, rear monoshock, Pirelli tyres, and all other standard features seem to be carried over.

BUT! Who will buy this Mojo electric?
