Mahindra Treo Zor in Bengaluru for last mile delivery

Mahindra has announced that the brand will be launching Mahindra Treo Zor in Bengaluru for last-mile deliveries. Mahindra is collaborating with clean energy solutions leader Magenta in Bengaluru to redefine the last mile mobility segment. Under the association, Magenta will deploy 100 Mahindra Treo Zor electric three-wheelers to deliver essential and non-essential goods. The environmentally-friendly last-mile delivery service will take place across Bengaluru.

Electric Vehicle Enabled Transport

The Mahindra Treo Zor will be part of EVET (Electric Vehicle Enabled Transport), Magenta’s new e-mobility platform for its delivery fleet. Under the new platform, Magenta is launching eco-friendly people and cargo transport services.EVET also includes vehicle charging support through its ‘ChargeGrid’. This initiative will help Mahindra’s progress to leaps and bounds in the electric last-mile delivery segment, where the brand already enjoys the top position.

Mahindra Treo Zor – Key Highlights

Powering the Mahindra Treo Zor is an 8kW electric motor with a torque output of 42 Nm. The IP67 rated electric motor offers protection against dust & water. The electric motor is also capable of carrying a best-in-class payload of up to 550 kg. The Treo Zor features the longest in the industry wheelbase of 2216mm compared to cargo electric three-wheelers. The electric three-wheeler also gets 30.48-cm tyres which claim to be the largest in the industry.

Mahindra Treo Zor – Battery and Savings

The Mahindra Treo Zor comes with a maintenance-free battery that boasts a battery life exceeding 1.50 lakh km. The electric three-wheeler can be charged using a 15A socket, just like a mobile phone. According to Mahindra, the Treo Zor can return savings of up to INR 60,000 per year compared to conventional fuel vehicles. It also claims to have the lowest maintenance cost of just 40 paise v/s 65 paise for a diesel 3-wheeler. Mahindra claims that the Treo Zor can run with a cost of just INR 2/km and return fuel cost savings compared with diesel cargo three-wheelers.
