Mahindra has announced the prices for the 4×4 variants of the Thar Roxx SUV in the Indian market. The brand also revealed that the new Thar Roxx with the 4×4 drivetrain will come with a mHawk diesel engine and two states of tune depending on the gearbox option. Also, the 4×4 Thar Roxx will get 4XPLOR technology, featuring a low ratio transfer case and electronic locking differential. The Thar Roxx with the 4×4 drive also comes with 650mm water wading capability, and features such as CrawlSmart and IntelliTurn.
Powering the Thar Roxx 4×4 is the diesel powered mHawk engine. The 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine produces 111.9 kW of power and 330 Nm of torque on the 6-speed manual transmission option, while the automatic transmission gearbox option develops 128.6 kW of power and 370 Nm of torque. The engine also comes with terrain modes – Snow, Sand and Mud. In addition to this, the SUV also features Adventure Statistics Display that provides real-time off-road driving performance metrics.
The Mahindra Thar Roxx 4×4 will be available in 3 trim options – MX5, AX5L and AX7L. The Thar Roxx 4×4 in the MX5 trim comes with features such as 10.25-inch infotainment system, Zip and Zoom driving modes, 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, cruise control, electric locking differential and more. The AX5L comes with twin 10.25-inch screens, Level 2 ADAS, Adrenox Connect, Automatic Climate Control, etc. And the top-of-the-line AX7L comes with panoramic sunroof, 19-inch alloy wheels, Harman Kardon Quantum Logic premium sound system, Front Ventilated Seats, and a lot more.
Mahindra has announced that the bookings for the new Thar Roxx will open on the 3rd of October 2024. Customers will be able to book the SUV from both Mahindra dealerships as well as through the brand’s online sales channels. For now, Mahindra is offering the Thar Roxx 4×4 with an introductory price of INR 18.79 lakh ex-showroom. Mahindra also revealed that the deliveries for the Thar Roxx will commence from Dusshera this year.
