Mahindra is planning to launch the new five-door Thar in the Indian market. Assuming that Mahindra follows its tradition and debuts the car on 15th August on India’s Independence Day, the Thar 5-door in spyshots appears ready. In addition to this, reports have also revealed that the Thar 5-door is also likely to be christened the Thar Armada.
Now, the latest spyshots of the Thar Armada have emerged on the internet leading us to believe that the launch of the 5-door Thar Armada is imminent. Sources reveal that the Thar Armada has been spied near the ARAI. ARAI or the Automotive Research Association of India, tests and homologates vehicles for the Indian market. This leads us to believe that the Thar Armada could be in its final stages of certification and standardisation and its launch could be this year itself.
Reports reveal that the upcoming Thar Armada will come with steel wheels on the base model and alloy wheels with a dual tone theme on the higher spec models. On the design front, the new Thar Armada is likely to come with a design similar to the 3-door Thar. But the 5-door SUV is likely to come with a number of distinguishing factors on the front end as well as the rear.
On the inside, the Thar Armada is also likely to come with premium features. These are likely to include features such as a dual-zone climate control with rear AC vents. The Thar Armada is also likely to come with a fully-digital instruments cluster and a 10.25-inch instruments cluster. Reports reveal that the infotainment screen is likely to be from the XUV400 EL Pro. The SUV is also likely to come with ergonomic seats rear centre armrests and electric sunroof.
