Recently the 2022 Mahindra XUV300 was spotted undergoing road testing. The test mule had minimal camouflage, and we could see some of the changes Mahindra would make to the compact SUV. The lack of camouflage also hinted that the model would hit the market soon and that it had minimal visual changes. Now, the brand has officially released a teaser for the 2022 XUV300. The major change for the 2022 XUV300 will not be external but under the hood.
2022 Mahindra XUV300 Teaser – What Do We See?
The new teaser from Mahindra confirms that the compact SUV will get a new engine. The image Mahindra released says, “O – Thrill in a blink of an eye”. Thus, confirming it will get a new turbo-petrol motor.
The teaser also confirms that the design changes. The image reveals the SUV’s front fascia with the new Twin Peaks logo. The XUV300 continues to use the same L-shaped LED DRLs and triple-pod headlights as before. However, at the front, the bumper now gets additional chrome treatment. The model also gets new 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
2022 Mahindra XUV300 – What Do We Know?
The 2022 XUV300 will likely get a new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol mill with about 130 BHP and 230 Nm of torque. This will make it one of the most powerful in its segment. Apart from this, Mahindra will continue to offer the XUV300 with the 1.5-litre turbo-diesel. The diesel makes 115 BHP and 300 Nm of torque. The XUV300 will continue with the same 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT transmission options.
It is likely that Mahindra will launch the 2022 XUV300 in the Indian market around this year’s festive season. Thus, it will give buyers another option to consider. When launched, the XUV300 will compete with the likes of Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.
