Mahindra takes away features from the XUV300 W6 variant

Indian automotive manufacturer Mahindra has deleted some of the features on its XUV300 sub-compact SUV. For the W6 variant of the XUV300, Mahindra has removed the rear spoiler and black plastic cladding. Other feature removals include the rear centre armrest, rear adjustable headrests, and 60:40 split-folding rear seats. Mahindra has also gone ahead and deleted the touchscreen infotainment system from the W6 variant.

In early 2021, the brand also deleted features from the top-spec W8 (O) variant of the XUV300. These included the 3-point seatbelt for the middle passenger along with heated ORVMs. Meanwhile, Mahindra has increased the prices of the sub-compact SUV while removing key features on select variants. The on-road price of the XUV300 W6 variant has been hiked by INR 90,000 in May.

Mahindra XUV300 W6 variant: Design and Price Highlights 

The XUV300 features a slim front grille with projector headlamps, and integrated signature LED DRLs connecting the fog lamps. The car features chrome studs on the grille and sports 16-inch steel wheels, an integrated roof spoiler, and a colour contrast roof. Mahindra has priced the W6 variant of the XUV300 at INR 9,87,817 (ex-showroom). The XUV300 has six colour options- Aqua Marine, Desert Silver, Napoli Black, Pearl White, Red Rage, and Galaxy Grey. There are also two dual-tone colour options- Dual Tone Red Rage and Dual Tone Aqua Marine.

Mahindra XUV300 W6 variant: Technical Specs 

On the XUV300, Mahindra offers a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine along with a detuned 1.5-litre diesel from the Marazzo. The diesel paired to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission produces 115 PS of power and 300 Nm of torque. The petrol motor is only paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox and produces 110 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. Overall, the XUV300 sports a 2600mm wheelbase with 3995mm of length, 1627mm of height, and 1821mm of width. The W6 variant of the XUV300 still retains the electrically-operated sunroof with anti-pinch functionality.
