Mahindra and Mahindra have reported a total sales of 54,643 units for March 2022. This figure includes SUV sales of 27,380 units, thus resulting in a growth of 65 per cent. The figure for March 2021 stood at 16,643 units. In the passenger vehicles segment, which includes UVs, cars and vans, Mahindra sold a total of 27,603 units for the given period. The same for March 2021 stood at 16,700 units is a growth of 65 per cent. Meanwhile, for the commercial vehicle segment, Mahindra posted a total sales of 19,837 units with a growth of 16 per cent. The export figure stood at 3,160 units.
With the launch of XUV700, Mahindra is just flying in terms of sales figures. The demand for the SUV is so high that the waiting period has now reached 12 months at some dealerships. To assert its quality, XUV700 has also won a host of awards. This includes the prestigious Indian Car of the Year 2022 and many more. All in all, XUV700 has won more than 30 awards across categories. In addition to this, Mahindra’s other SUV titles are also in much demand. The blockbuster Thar is also selling in good numbers. The new Bolero Neo is already the top pick amongst the customers, especially in the rural regions.
It’s no secret that Mahindra is working on a new Scorpio. We have spotted the SUV on multiple occasions now, and it seems the testing is in the last phase. Scorpio nameplate itself has a cult fan following in the country. And with the updated model, with enhanced mechanicals and features, the fan following will only increase from here. Driving in the EV segment, Mahindra has already announced its entry. The carmaker has already teased its EV range, and we must say they look quite striking. As of now, we have the update that Mahindra will fully reveal the cars sometime in July this year.
