Mahindra rolls-out Free Corona Insurance on Bolero Pick-up range through Oriental Insurance Co.

Mahindra has announced a new customer-centric initiative for the customers of its popular Bolero pick-up range. Under the new initiative, Mahindra will be providing Free Corona Insurance, a floater health insurance coverage for up to INR 1 lakh that will cover the customer, his/ her spouse and up to two of the customer’s children. The Corona Insurance will be valid for 9.5 months from the date of purchase on the new Bolero Pick-up Range of vehicle. The brand has tied-up with the Oriental Insurance Company to provide the Corona Insurance policy.

The Insurance is applicable on the Bolero Pickup range which includes the Bolero Pik-up, Bolero Maxi Truck, Bolero City Pikup and Bolero Camper from 1st October to 30th November 2020. The new initiative is in-line with the brand’s philosophy of giving back to the community and society at large. According to the brand, the pick-up customer is one whose work involves travel, contributing to the essential services, where interaction with people cannot be avoided. The Corona Insurance can be availed by the customer by registering their Name, Date of Birth and Address including that of their family members. The health insurance can be used in case of hospitalisation or home quarantine by the driver and his/ her family members who test positive for Covid-19. 

Mahindra has the widest portfolio in Pick-ups to cater to various needs of cargo transportation and the flagship range of Bolero-Pik-Ups have more than 15 lakh happy customers. The Mahindra Bolero Pick-up segment has a market share of over 65% Year To Date in September 2020 in LCV 2 ton  to 3.5 ton segment. The pick-up range includes First in segment Flat-bed cargo pickup, first Double Cabin Pickup, first AC Pick up or first CNG Pick up. 

Mahindra has announced that the brand has sold 18,907 vehicles in September 2020, as against 18,872 vehicles in September 2019, in the commercial vehicle segment. The brand also recorded sales of 14,857 vehicles in September 2020, compared to 14,333 vehicles in September 2019, registering a growth of 4%, in the passenger vehicle segment. The Farm Equipment Sector (FES) sold 42,361 units in September 2020 as against 36,046 units during September 2019.
