Indian carmaker Mahindra has revealed a new logo for its upcoming electric vehicles. All Born Electric vehicles will now have a new identity. This new logo was unveiled at the company’s Futurescape event in South Africa.
The new logo is a white bordered infinity logo. This is unlike the current twin-peaks logo that Mahindra uses on the all-electric XUV400.
The infinity logo represents flow of energy along with the fluid synergy of the driver and the SUV in a multisensory harmony. The continuity of the logo also represents a racetrack and the circularity of intelligent sustainability.
Apart from the new logo, Mahindra has roped in the popular musician AR Rahman to make a new anthem “Le Chalaang” for the range of ‘Born Electric’ cars. Furthermore, AR Rahman will also create sounds which will be used in the electric vehicles. These include 75 custom made sounds. These will be used in both interiors and exteriors of the future electric vehicles. Some of these will be used as experience zone mode sounds, infotainment alerts and for functional uses like seat belt alerts and turn indicators.
At the Futurescape event, Mahindra launched its new OJA range of tractors. The company also showcased the Pik Up concept vehicle based on the new Scorpio N and all revealed the launch timelines for the upcoming futuristic range of all-electric SUVs.
In the international markets, Mahindra has been selling the older Scorpio’s pickup version as the Pik Up. Now, the Indian carmaker has revealed a new generation pickup based on the Scorpio N.
The production version of this is codenamed Z121. It will be based on a next-gen ladder-frame chassis which is expected to perform well in not just the Global NCAP but also the Euro NCAP tests.
