Mahindra has revealed its latest electric SUVs, the XEV 9E and BE 6E, as part of its new Electric Origin SUV brand. The two models are set to debut on November 26, 2024, at the Unlimit India event in Chennai.
The XEV 9E and BE 6E are built on Mahindra’s new Electric Origin INGLO platform, which promises intuitive, intelligent, and immersive innovations. The XEV 9E features a connected LED lightbar at the front, vertical light system, and a closed grille with a swooping bonnet. The BE 6E, on the other hand, boasts a BE logo at the front and XUV 3XO-inspired light system.
Both SUVs have bold character lines, large wheel arches, and connected LED taillights. The interiors are futuristic, with the XEV 9E featuring a triple-screen setup and the BE 6E a dual-screen layout. Both models come with a large panoramic sunroof, nearly squared steering wheels with haptic buttons, and ADAS aids.
The XEV 9E is expected to offer a battery range of around 500 km on a single charge, while the BE 6E will provide a range of 450-500 km. Both SUVs are designed to deliver exhilarating performance and impressive efficiency, with fast charging capabilities up to 175 kW. Details will be clear once the SUVs are fully revealed.
Mahindra aims to compete with other electric SUVs in the Indian market, such as the MG ZS EV, BYD Atto 3, Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta EV, and Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. Both vehicles are designed to offer a blend of rugged reliability and sophisticated design, making them ideal for both city commutes and off-road adventures.
The new eletrci SUVs will be available at Mahindra’s flagship dealerships across India, with deliveries expected to start in the last quarter of FY2025. While the exact pricing details are yet to be announced, Mahindra aims to offer competitive pricing to attract a wide range of customers.
