Mahindra has revealed more details about its much-anticipated SUV, the XUV 3XO. The vehicle, which is set to be launched on April 29, 2024, is expected to set a new benchmark in the SUV segment.
The latest teaser reveals the acceleration of the XUV 3XO. The company claims that the vehicle can go from 0 to 60 kmph in just 4.5 seconds which arguably is the fastest in the segment. The company is also claiming that the XUV 3XO will deliver a fuel efficiency of 20.1 kmpl.
The XUV 3XO is expected to use the same engine and transmission options as the outgoing XUV300. These include a 1.2-litre turbo petrol, a 1.2-litre T-GDi (turbo-petrol), and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The transmission options will include a six-speed manual and a six-speed AMT gearbox. However, the existing AMT transmission option could be replaced with a proper torque converter automatic transmission. This will put the XUV 3XO in direct competition with the automatic Venue and Sonet which come with a 7-speed DCT.
The XUV 3XO boasts striking LED DRLs, connected LED tail-lamps, and layered-spoke alloy wheels. The XUV 3XO will be the first sub-compact (under 4 meter length) SUV in India to feature a panoramic sunroof. Its predecessor, the Mahindra XUV300, was only available with a single-pane sunroof. The new dual-pane panoramic sunroof, dubbed as the “skyroof”, is expected to enhance the passenger experience by offering a more expansive view of the sky.
The XUV 3XO will also feature Mahindra’s AdrenoX connected car technology suite. This technology allows drivers to pre-cool the cabin before entering the car and remotely control the air conditioning.
The XUV 3XO is expected to be launched with an introductory starting price of ₹8 lakh, ex-showroom. As the launch date approaches, more details about the vehicle’s features and specifications are expected to be revealed.
