On 15th August 2022, Mahindra revealed not one or two but a total of 5 all-electric SUVs. Out of the five, two will be a part of the electric XUV lineup, and three will be part of the BE, or Born-Electric, lineup. The first to hit the market will be the XUV.e8 and XUV.e9 from the XUV lineup. About six months later after the XUV.e9’s launch, the first model from the BE lineup will arrive. After the XUV.e8, XUV.e9 and the BE.05, we take a closer look at the second model in the BE lineup
Mahindra BE.07 SUV – Highlights
Mahindra says it will launch the BE.07 SUV in October 2026, a year after the launch of the BE.05. Besides the XUV.e8, the BE.07 is the only product out of the 5 all-electric SUVs that Mahindra unveiled to have a traditional SUV design. However, like all the other models, the BE.07 will also use the modular INGLO EV platform.
Like the BE.05, the BE.07 also gets headlights in a C-shape at the front. The front-end design of the BE.07 is much more upright than the BE.05. Also, the headlights are less angular. On the sides, the BE.07 has fewer cuts and creases and thus looks visually bigger. Some elements, such as the flush door handles and large wheel arches, are similar to the BE.05. Like the front, the rear also gets taillights in a C-shape and an upright stance. The photos also show a large panoramic sunroof which will let a lot of light into the cabin. Unlike the split spoiler of the BE.05, the BE.07 gets a conventional tailgate-mounted spoiler.
Mahindra has revealed that the BE.07 will measure 4,565mm in length, 1,900mm in width and 1,660mm in height. Thus, making it negligibly larger than the BE.05. Meanwhile, the 2,775mm wheelbase of the BE.07 is identical to that of the BE.05. Given the dimensions, it will likely slot below the XUV700 and XUV.e8. In the BE lineup, it will slot right in between the smaller BE.05 and the larger BE.09.
