Mahindra recalls XUV300 for clutch & AC problems

It looks like Mahindra & Mahindra have their hands full. After recently issuing a recall for the Thar and XUV700, Mahindra & Mahindra has now issued a recall, or service alert, for the XUV300 in India. The recall is to replace a faulty clutch disc assembly. Like with the XUV700 and Thar’s recall, the exact number of units the recall affects is currently unknown.

Mahindra XUV300 Recalled

The company has sent a service alert for all the XUV300s. Thus, this includes the diesel as well as the petrol variants of the SUV. According to the source, the company will change the faulty clutch disc assembly of the XUV300. However, it is unknown what issues could arise due to the faulty clutch disc assembly on the SUV.

In addition to this, Mahindra & Mahindra has also notified owners of the XUV300 to get their vehicles checked for AC gas leakage. The company has asked owners to visit their nearest authorised Mahindra & Mahindra service centre so that technicians can check for any AC gas leakage. Mahindra says that the CV core hose assembly could spring a leak. Thus, leading to improper functioning of the air-conditioning system.

As mentioned before, the number of units affected by these issues is currently unknown. However, customers can check if their vehicle is affected by entering their VIN on Mahindra & Mahindra’s official website. But, like with the Thar and XUV700 recall, there is a possibility that the VIN may not show as a part of the recall. In that case, it is advisable to check with the nearest dealership if it still is.
