Mahindra offers old Vehicle Scrapping at dealership while buying new cars

Mahindra & Mahindra, taking the new vehicle scrappage policy under consideration, signed an MoU with Mahindra MSTC Recycling Private Limited, which will aim to provide the customers with an end-to-end solution for the scrapping of vehicles. MMRPL is in the business of acquiring used and end of life vehicles under the brand name of CERO. With dismantling centres across major cities in India, CERO plans to make its presence in over 25 cities within the next 8 to 10 months.  Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways had recently announced that the Government will introduce the new vehicle scrappage policy effective from April 2022. This decision aims to eliminate all the old high polluting vehicles especially in the commercial segment and replace them with the much-improved vehicles adhering to the strict emission norms, which will help in controlling the pollution level across the country.

Customers Can Now Scrap Their Old Vehicles At Mahindra Dealership Point

This new agreement will provide a convenient way for the customers to scrap their old vehicle without the need to look for a vehicle scrapping agency and dealer. Mahindra and Mahindra claims that customers who intend to buy any of their vehicles by scrapping or exchanging their vehicles that are older than 15 years, can do so at any Mahindra dealership. Under this partnership, the dealership will take care of the vehicle evaluation, estimate a quote value for the exchange or scrappage of the vehicle, provide all the services related to the scrappage like vehicle pickup, transportation, environment-friendly dismantling at CERO Scrap yards and more. They will also help facilitate to issue of the Certificate of Deposit/Destruction which entitles the customers to a host of benefits like, exemption of road tax, discount on the ex-showroom price of the new car and more,  under the upcoming Scrappage Policy. Mahindra and Mahindra also confirmed that to curb the spread of the virus and encourage the customers to stay at home, it will offer the evaluation of the vehicle at the customer’s doorstep.
