Mahindra’s Mojo is nowhere to be seen. It can be safely said that this has been yet another flop two-wheeler from the brand. Yes, Mahindra made a lot of efforts for the Mojo to sell, and even the product wasn’t completely worth neglecting especially with that 300cc motor, but buyers have not really considered it as a purchase option.
Now, Mahindra has introduced a new colour option for the more expensive Mojo XT300 variant. The dual tone blue + white Mojo is XT300 is now available on sale, and is priced at INR 1.79 lakh (ex-showroom). There are no other changes except for the new colour scheme.
The Mahindra Mojo XT300 is powered by a 295cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, 4-stroke motor producing 26.8 BHP of power and 30 Nm of torque. This is higher in output compared to the Mojo UT300. Also, the Mojo UT300 is a stripped down variant losing out on USD forks, single exhaust at pipe and a carburetor instead of FI. However, even the low cost Mojo UT300 failed to generate customer interest.
What will happen to the Mahindra Mojo in the months to come? Will it see the calendar change to 2019? Or will it be discontinued before that?
