Mahindra has launched the all-new Marazzo MPV in India developed with a budget of $200 million. This is an new car after a long time from the Mahindra stable, and creates a new segment for itself. It is positioned above the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, but is also a rival to the likes of Tata Hexa and Toyota Innova.
With pricing for the Base M2 variant starting from INR 9.99 lakh ex-showroom and the top M8 variant asking for INR 13.90 lakh ex-showroom, the market sentiment is positive towards this product. It is a full size 7/8-seater MPV and has ample room inside the cabin.

The Marazzo comes with an all-new 1.5L, 4-cylinder diesel engine which is transversely mounted and is coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox. This engine is expected to deliver 17.3 kmpl of mileage. NVH levels are worked upon and claimed to be the most silent Mahindra car cabin till date. There is no automatic or petrol engine variants for now, but will be launched in a few months time. This 1.5L diesel produces 123 PS of power and 300 Nm of torque.
Exterior features include 17″ alloy wheels, smoked projector headlamps, LED DRLs, fog lamps, body cladding, generous use of chrome and a new design Mahindra grille. Inside, you get purple theme instrument console, touchscreen infotainment system, leather seats, climate control, plenty of storage spots, cruise control buttons on steering wheel and all that you would expect in this segment
ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, ISOFIX are standard on all variants along with all-four disc brakes.
The Marazzo has a new body-on-frame FWD layout which has been patented.
