Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has launched the Veero CNG in India, priced at INR 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variant is available in two trims: the 1.4 XXL SD V2 CNG and the 1.4 XXL SD V4 (A) CNG.

Veero CNG: Specs and Features

The Veero CNG is built on Mahindra’s Urban Prosper Platform (UPP), designed to redefine the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) segment. The model offers best-in-class mileage of 19.2 km/kg, thanks to its 150-litre CNG tank. It also features a 4.5-litre petrol tank for emergencies, extending its combined range to over 500 km.

Veero CNG

The pick-up is powered by a Turbo CNG engine delivering 91 PS of power and 210 Nm of torque. It has a payload capacity of 1.4 tons and a cargo length of 3035 mm, making it suitable for various types of cargo. Safety features include dual airbags, a driver-side airbag, and adherence to AIS096 crash safety standards.

The cabin is designed for maximum comfort, with features like ventilated front seats, a reclining driver’s seat, and a TFT cluster. The Veero CNG also includes a False Start Avoidance System and a driver fuel coaching system to ensure low cost of ownership.

Competitors

Mahindra’s new LCV faces competition from other LCVs like the Tata Ace and the Ashok Leyland Dost. These models also offer similar features and mileage, catering to the same target audience.
