Mahindra has launched its much-anticipated BE 6e electric SUV, with prices starting at INR 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The BE 6e is part of Mahindra’s new “Born Electric” range, built on the company’s in-house INGLO platform.
The BE 6e features a sleek, modern design characterized by its sharp lines, prominent wheel arches, and distinctive front fascia. The SUV is equipped with angled headlights featuring inverted L-shaped DRLs and a functional hood scoop, adding to its aggressive yet stylish look. Inside, the BE 6e offers a spacious cabin, boasting premium materials and advanced technological features, including a large touchscreen infotainment system. Under the hood, the BE 6e is powered by a 59 kWh battery pack, delivering an impressive real-world range of over 450 km on a single charge. The vehicle supports ultra-fast charging, allowing for a 20-80% charge in just 20 minutes. With a power output of 281 hp, the BE 6e can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in a brisk 6.7 seconds, making it one of the most powerful electric SUVs in its segment.
Priced at INR 18.90 lakh, the BE 6e is positioned as a premium offering in the electric SUV market. The BE 6e enters a competitive market, facing off against the Tata Curvv EV and the MG ZS EV. The Tata Curvv EV offers a range of 585 km on a single charge, slightly higher than the BE 6e, and features a 55 kWh battery. The MG ZS EV provides a range of 461 km with a 50.3 kWh battery and produces 174.33 bhp compared to the BE 6e’s 281 hp. Both competitors offer advanced features, but the BE 6e stands out with its fast charging capabilities and superior power output.
