Mahindra launches Alfa CNG in Cargo & Passenger variant

Mahindra has announced the launch of its new Alfa CNG in two variants – Passenger and Cargo. Pricing starts at INR 2,57,000 (ex-showroom Lucknow) for the Alfa Passenger DX BS6 CNG. Meanwhile, the other variant, Alfa Load Plus, costs INR 2,57,800 (ex-showroom Lucknow). Both of them will now be available in Mahindra dealerships in various states. These include Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Telangana, Jharkhand, Delhi, Bihar, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh. 

Mahindra says the launch of the CNG variants makes them a full-range player in the segment. This is because Mahindra now offers multiple options, including diesel, electric and CNG. The company further adds that there is an increase in the density of CNG stations. Thus, it makes for an excellent choice for customers looking for huge savings. 

Mahindra Alfa CNG – Highlights

Powering the Alfa CNG is a 395cc water-cooled engine. Mahindra says the engine is the biggest in its class and also guarantees long-term reliability. Furthermore, the engine also offers the best-in-segment torque of 23.5 Nm. As much as 20 Nm of torque is available from lower speeds. Thus, helping the Alfa CNG stay ahead of the traffic. 

According to Mahindra, the Alfa CNG variants also deliver best-in-segment mileage. The Alfa DX Passenger delivers 40.2 km/kg. At the same time, the Alfta Load Plus delivers 38.6 km/kg. Both these figures are as per ARAI tests. Mahindra is also saying that customers can save up to INR 4,00,000 in 5 years using the Alfa CNG over a diesel three-wheeler. 

The Alfa platform offers a best-in-segment sheet metal thickness of 0.90 mm. Hence, the Alfa CNG Passenger and Cargo variants provide high durability. In addition to this, Mahindra also has 800+ dealer touch points across the country. Therefore, maintenance of the Alfa CNG will always be within reach for the customers. This also ensures increased peace of mind.
